We are looking for a Sr. Electronics Engineering Technician to join our team in TECHNOMED, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the After-Sales Services, Training, Technical Services and Maintenance, Installation, Deinstallation, Calibration, and Refurbishment of Medical Imaging Systems, Especially Nuclear Medicine, MRI and CT. This position will involve coordination and teamwork within the technical department and several different types of equipment and company products. We work with multi-brand equipment such as Philips, Siemens, and GE.

  • Location: Richmond, BC, Canada
  • Hours: 32 hrs/week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday -Office hours (core will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
  • Overtime: May be needed (1.5 X base Salary)
  • Wage: $37.00 CAD /hrs
  • Permanent: FT
  • Start date: ASAP

Employment requirements

  • A minimum of 5-year technical experiences in the medical and healthcare industry.
  • People who have a history of providing technical services in the medical imaging such as Nuclear Medicine, MRI, CT, Angio/C-Arm, Radiology/RF, Mammography/BMD, Ultrasound and dental imaging departments are given higher priority. Also, among these, people who have a history of providing technical services in the nuclear medicine sectors, such as PET, PET/CT, SPECT and SPECT/CT are given the highest priority.
  • in 3D Anatomy/Pathology/Physics plus, understanding of the needs of end-users and ability of training them. Also, ability to work with equipment software packages and make adjustments according to the end user's needs.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Technical understanding is a must.

Job Description:

  • Working in the technical department as a service technician for Nuclear Medicine, MRI, CT and other medical imaging systems.
  • Professionally, safely, and accurately perform on-site and off-site system installations, calibrations (to ensure clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnose), training, as well as repairs, technical services, maintenance (PM) and de-installations
  • Assist in site planning as needed.
  • Problem-detecting and solving
  • Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images and medical imaging systems output.
  • Provide on-demand phone and on-site support as required.
  • Working with different brands such as Philips, Siemens, GE
  • Attending training courses for new techniques and technologies and achieving the required skills
  • Plan, schedule, and execute all requirements for job missions
  • Working independently or as a member of the team.
  • Works on a task until completion
  • Accurately and promptly submit required paperwork to accounting/operations.
  • Promote positive customer relationships, including non-service call visits and meetings.
  • Work with sales and operations on all customer-specific site and technical issues.

Language: English 

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electronics, Computer (Hardware) or related fields is required.

Physically demanding

Able to work in a demanding physical environment – repeatedly lifting to 50 lbs, able to push/pull around 50 lbs. Standing and walking for the majority of the shift.
